RECYLING AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
The Innovive® Disposable Rodent Caging System uses a single-use recyclable rodent cage that eliminates the need for cages to be washed and sterilized.
Implementing the system in your facility will allow you to significantly reduce your environmental footprint by:
- SAVING ENERGY associated with high temperature washing and generating autoclave steam.
- SAVING WATER by eliminating million of gallons of water associated with washing and steam generation .
- REDUCING POLLUTION by eliminating acids and detergents used for washing.
- REDUCING WASTE by utilizing a cage that, unlike polycarbonate or polysulfone caging, can be put in your recycling stream.
INNOVIVE CAGES ARE CURRENTLY BEING RECYCLED AROUND THE WORLD AND HERE IS WHY:
- The rodent cage bottom, top and water bottle are 100% PETE - the most recyclable polymer available.
- Food tray and grates are made of 100% polystyrene and are also 100% recyclable.
- All Innovive disposable rodent caging products are free of glue or other contaminants,which makes them a valuable commodity in the recycling stream.
- Innocage® filters and grates snap out easily to allow for easy separation of filter paper.
If you do not have a recycling program, or are restricted by your current recycler, Innovive Inc. will work with you to get your plastics recycled.
